Monitoring modules are usually tied to a specific brand and often to specific inverter series. Match the module to your inverter's exact model and communication port (for example RS232), and check which app it needs, before buying.
A CT (current transformer) clamps around a conductor to measure the power flowing through it without cutting the wire. A bidirectional meter can show both power drawn from the grid and power exported. The CT must be placed on the correct conductor and facing the right direction for accurate readings, so consider having an electrician install it.
